The Lion King: The Full Story Part 1

"I'm gonna get you!" giggled a small crimson colored cub as she staggered towards a beetle.

It zigzagged across the floor of a cave that was made from generations of rocks forming what was known as Pride Rock. Her red iris against the paleness of her yellow eye grew with curiosity; lowering her beige stomach close to the ground the cub wired her hind legs in preparation for a jump. Ear's twitching, cherry nose wrinkled, tail swishing and her newborn teeth clenched the cub was ready to catch the beetle.

Coming to a halt the beetle stood motionless, the cub pulling from her crouch to slump back on her haunches.  

"What's wrong Mr. Bug? Don't 'cha wanna play with me? I won't hurt you I promise."

The beetle in response quickly opened its wings and flew into the darkness of the cave; the cub titling her head in confusion.

"Uru, the little Princess, all alone? What an odd surprise." A deep voice echoed in the cave.

The cub, surprised, wobbled around to see a much older lion whom was broad built with a dark main and a chocolate pelt. His stomach was a taupe and what surprised her most was his face. A red wound stretched diagonally across his face while one of his eyes seemed completely yellow with no iris.

"Why hello mister." The cub inclined.

"I suppose you're too young to remember who I am I'm guessing?"

"Umm……"

Rolling his one good eye the lions red iris settled on the cub again, "Listen, where are your parents Uru? I need to know."

"Well… hmm… they didn't really say a lot except stay put. An Emergency came up out in the grasslands I think. Something to do with these evil creatures that walk on two legs."

"So you're unprotected?" He questioned with a deep satisfying growl in his throat.

With a graceful but dangerous stride forward the lion's front claws protruded the cave floor.

"Uru, my sweet little friend, I have some rather awful news for you."

Becoming a little nervous the cub backed away until she hit the wall, pupils wide it fright.

"My dear, you must die! Your father is a pathetic King and in order for me to be the New King I must first dispatch of his Princess. You will NEVER be Queen!"

"What are you talking about mister? Please go away!"

Clenching a paw out in front of him the lion's talons grew further, "You're too young to understand which is exactly why I must finish you now! Goodbye Uru!"

Shivering in fear tears streamed through her crimson fur as she whined, "Mommy… where are you?"

"Hush now, everything will be over in a matter of seconds!"

Raising his paw, claws gleaming he let out a horrid laugh that echoed throughout the cave. About to swing forward the cub cried out helplessly to see a mass of two lions tumbling across the floor, both roaring in anger. The cub's mother, Aruba, was a pale rose color with a strip of chestnut colored fur in the middle of her head gleaming in the sunlight that streamed into the cave as pounded the male lion down with a hard thump on his back. Teeth bared, Aruba searched deep in her throat letting out an awful snarl in the males face, her green irises thin with rage in her pale set eyes.

"Kalsifur you traitor! Leave now before I rip your other eye out of that socket of yours! I hereby banish you from the newly found Pride Lands! LEAVE!" Aruba roared impatiently.

Squirming out from under Aruba's grasp Kalsifur scrambled to his feet sprinting out the cave opening, snarls emitting from him in disgust. Retracting her claws Aruba ran over pulling Uru close while she caressed her head with her tongue feeling Uru's shivers.

"It's alright Uru, mommy's here. I Promise I'll never leave your side again. Never."

"M…m…mommy… I was… so… scared!" The cub whaled, wrapping her paws around that of her mother's front leg.

"Hush now, my little one, your father is on his way too. Don't worry anymore I won't leave your side. I promise."

Reaching out with one claw from her paw Aruba gave a faint smile trying to calm her heart down, "I swear I won't leave you, claw swears are legit."

Sniffling the cub forced a little claw out of her paw hooking it with her mothers, "I trust you mommy, you came to me when I called. I really do trust you."

"And you can always trust me."

Pulling Uru into an embrace Aruba slumped down onto her stomach, cradling her new born in her paws while she began to purr softly watching Uru slowly fall into a deep sleep.
